MASTER OF PUBLIC POLICY

(Undergraduate degree from AUT)

Being an experienced community worker, I have realised the complex issues that certain populations in our society face. Lack of access to public services is an important barrier preventing people to live healthy lives.

I believe there is a call for leadership in the disability and low SE spaces to advocate for fairer policies on issues such as affordable primary health care services, rather than just tinkering around the edges of the issue. Because of my experience assisting these people on the frontline, I believe I can champion this issue. I want to contribute to the push for more equitable systems for these people in our society.
