Arianna Bacic | McCall MacBain Kupe Leadership Scholar

Bachelor of Laws (Honours) & Bachelor of Global Studies (International Relations and Business)

I have always had a deep passion for achieving justice in our communities. Growing up in a generation which sees the climate changing around us at an accelerating pace, this passion has brought me to focus on the importance of climate justice. Leadership in this space is increasingly vital. As climate change intersects with every challenge we face in some way, we cannot create a more equitable, prosperous and just future without a healthy climate. Approaching the climate challenge with a justice lens brings into focus the importance of people-oriented leadership that brings communities together, values diverse experiences, and seeks to find opportunities to protect the most vulnerable while leaving a better future for generations to come. As an aspiring lawyer and advocate, I hope to continuously learn from others and broaden my perspective to grow my ability to contribute to efforts towards climate justice.
