The institutions that make up Aotearoa New Zealand simultaneously offer promise and regret. Around the motu countless Kiwi’s have, and are, undertaking incredible mahi to enrich the inter-generational wellbeing of our people. But too often they are doing so in an institutional environment that inhibits, rather than empowers them.
I am interested in combining my experiences together with studies in politics, philosophy, economics and law to understand how our institutions can better serve whānau, communities and empower Kiwi’s to keep doing incredible mahi. Currently, my work is focused on understanding features within our policy landscape intersect with the institutional frameworks we have created. The objective of this work is to ideate new ways of approaching our most tricky social challenges by using the great public resources we endow to our institutions more effectively.
