Social good2NZLI and the Centre for Community Research and Evaluation (CCRE) in the School of Counselling, Human Services and Social Work recently co-hosted a workshop for Leaders in the social good sector.

We had wanted to tap into a 'collective mind' for a steer on how to support capabilities for the future across the social impact/for purpose sector. We received that and so much more, thanks to the participants' wisdom, passion, storytelling and authenticity.

What emerged surprised and delighted us - a readiness to step up and claim collective responsibility, a desire to create a network/forum to advocate and connect to other key stakeholders, and the need for the sector to be acknowledged and seen for the complexity of activities and the range of skills it brings.

We are currently analysing the findings from this session which will be disseminated to all those in attendance. Thanks again to those who came along to share their insights. Our two Institutes walked away excited and energised, and we look forward to an ongoing connection with the sector.
